Stabilizer Motor Mount/Gas Made to fit into our stabilizer UR’s (Motor Mounts) so you have one unit for motoring and stability. The main advantage is in solo motoring so you can move forward to better trim out your canoe. If you are tandem in a canoe it is usually better to buy a separate motor mount. The advantage of a separate motor mount is you can still paddle on the opposite side while with the Stabilizer Motor Mount the floats on both sides restrict paddling. Floats are a good idea for all motoring and our HD floats are the best choice because they go through the water without splash. You can also push the HydroDynmaic (HD) float down to counter the weight of the motor. The motor mount plate is 8” x 6” x 1” and made of high density black polyethlene for durability. The plate is bolted onto a 15' angled extrusion which is bolted onto a 6” piece of our UR. These are very strong and durable motor mounts! Stabilizer Mount/Gas (4 HP max.)
